Emma Bolden
Director
Emma Bolden is the Director for First Avenue Ventures. She develops and implements digital marketing efforts, maintaining content calendars, content inventories, and multi-channel content strategies for multiple clients. In addition to content creation and strategy, Emma specializes in web analytics and reporting to track, analyze, and improve the performance of websites, social media posts, paid advertising, and ecommerce efforts. She’s received training in Advanced Google Analytics, Google Analytics for Power Users, and Google Data Studio. In 2019, Emma received her Google Adwords Certification and Google Analytics Individual Qualification. Drawing on her thirteen-year background in higher education, Emma also supervises the internship program, training interns to write consistent content and perform successful research.
As a creative writer, Emma has published a memoir, three full-length collections and three chapbooks of poetry, as well as one chapbook of creative nonfiction. Her work was chosen for inclusion in the Best Small Fictions 2015, Best American Poetry 2015, and The Norton Introduction to Literature (13th Edition). Emma was a recipient of a 2017 Creative Writing Fellowship in poetry from the National Endowment for the Arts and of a 2019 Literary Arts Fellowship from the Alabama State Council on the Arts.
Emma received a Bachelor of Liberal Arts from Sarah Lawrence College with a concentration in Creative Writing in 2002. In 2005, she received a Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing, Poetry, from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
